Our Food Independence Garden share days include produce harvested from Food Is Free Washington’s 60 raised bed gardens, including the Tacoma Urban Farm and Triple Earl Gardens, as well as produce donated by local community gardens and home gardeners, local farmers, and gleaned produce from Harvest Pierce County. Plant starts are also available depending on the season.
Each year, Food is Free Washington gives away over fourteen thousand pounds of produce at FIG share day events – or enough to feed a hundred people for a week at every event.
ATTENTION: WE HAPPILY ACCEPT DONATIONS OF HOME GROWN PRODUCE AND EDIBLE PLANT STARTS AT OUR FIG SHARE DAY EVENTS!! Feel free to bring and donate your homegrown bounty!
