Donate Your Produce With Fresh Food Connect

What Is Fresh Food Connect?

Fresh Food Connect is an app that helps connect backyard growers to hunger relief organizations. If you grow extra produce in your at-home garden, you can use this app to find the nearest participating drop-off site, log your extra produce, and bring it to one of our designated locations.

Your surplus produce won’t go to waste, and folks living in neighborhoods where healthy food can be hard to come by will get to enjoy fresh, locally grown food.

You can download the app below.

How Do I Donate My Extra Produce?

Make sure you download the Fresh Food Connect app. You will be asked to provide your zip code so that the app can let you know where your designated drop-off site is. When you have produce you would like to donate, you can click the “Share My Harvest” button, select “I’ll Drop Off to Nonprofit,” log your donation, indicate your time slot and then follow the instructions for dropping off your produce.

If you would rather not download the app and you’re in the Tacoma area, feel free to make an appointment to drop off your donation at Tacoma Urban Farm by emailing us here
